Ripley’s Aquarium of Myrtle Beach is one of the most visited attractions in all of South Carolina, and it’s easy to see why. Nestled inside the Broadway at the Beach complex, the 85,000-square-foot aquarium houses more than 10,000 exotic sea creatures representing over 350 species across a series of expertly designed immersive exhibits. The crown jewel is the Dangerous Reef — a 750,000-gallon tank featuring a moving conveyor belt that carries visitors through an underwater tunnel while sharks, stingrays, and sea turtles glide overhead in every direction. Other highlights include the new Goldfish Realm gallery showcasing goldfish in a magical, reimagined setting; Sloth Valley, home to two-toed sloths Cleo and Rico; Penguin Playhouse, where a lively colony of South African penguins delight guests of all ages; Ray Bay, where stingrays can be touched and fed; and the Discovery Center with interactive touch tanks featuring jellyfish and other marine life. Your ticket is an all-day pass, so you can return the same day. Combo discount packages are available with other Ripley’s attractions. Free parking is available in front of the aquarium and throughout Broadway at the Beach.
